Charles Guidotti
1935 - 2005

Dr. Charles Guidotti died on May 19, 2005 after a brief, but serious illness. Charlie or Chuck, as he was called by his friends and colleagues, served as a professor of mineralogy and metamorphic petrology at UC Davis, University of Wisconsin, and the University of Maine through a successful career that spanned four decades. Charlie was an internationally recognized authority on the crystal chemistry of mica and petrologic mineralogy. His intellect and humor are missed by a wide circle of friends, colleagues, and family.
