GEODYNAMICS AT MAINE / PUBLICATIONS / RESEARCH

Analog Modeling Facility

I am interested in geodynamics and in particular in the mechanics of collision. I use a number of tools to carry out my research including numerical modeling, field studies, mineralogy, geochemistry and stable isotope techniques. As a numerical modeler, I recognize the importance of being familiar with the systems and rocks I am modeling and enjoy collaborative projects that integrate numerical modeling with other disciplines within geology.

Much of my research has been carried out in New Zealand, focusing on the Southern Alps collision zone in the South Island and the Hikurangi subduction margin in the North Island.
